Social Awareness Program of CEA Scout Troop on the occasion of NO SMOKING DAY

RALLY ON ‘NO SMOKING’ DAY

(WITH CEA SCOUT TROOPS.)

No Smoking Day is an annual health awareness day in the United Kingdom which is intended to help smoker who want to quit smoking. The first “No Smoking” Day was on Ash Wednesday in 1984 and it now takes place on the second Wednesday in March.
Each year, the campaign is promoted with a theme in the form of a short phrase. In 2010, this theme was "Break free", encouraging smokers to break free from the chains of cigarettes and quit on No Smoking Day. The 2011 theme was "Time to quit?". Research conducted by GfK NOP following the 2009 campaign found that 1 in 10 smokers quit on No Smoking Day.
So, today on the vary day of “no smoking” day, our scout and social welfare club organized a small rally with some play-cards, pamphlets along with school flag and national flag.
It was about 4’oclock when we marched towards our rally for “no smoking” day. We start our rally by taking some photo and clips. As, I was holding the banner of my school we started our rally and everyone followed me and Mariyam.
Not only me, all the scout was looking so excited because it was the first time we had rally in this year 2075. All of them were catching at least one play-cards in their hand by showing the symbol of no smoking and many other different slogans.
As, we were in the public places areas many of the people were found smoking. We didn’t harass them instead we pasted some slogans on the pole of the electricity. Some of the people threw away the ciggegeratte that they were smoking while some of them didn’t concerned us. So many people were in the mass all them were reading out the slogans.
One much interesting thing happened on the way, when we were about to return to our school. One of the old woman came to me and asked the reason for rally. When, I answered her she again requested me to tell the same thing to her husband who was not either there. Once, I thought how was that woman was. I laughed a lot on the way by listening her words and her way of speaking.
We reached our school at 5’o clock. As we were very tired we took rest for a while and handover the banners and play-cards to our coordinator sir and returned home.
Now, also when I thought about the rally with the banner I felt so tired. But, when I remembered the old woman I felt so comedy at her.
Smoking is injurious to health.
Thanks for your co-operation!
The end!
